The U.S. Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for the navigable waters surrounding the Kilauea Volcano active lava flow entry into the Pacific Ocean on the southeast side of the Big Island.

    Big Island police have located a 22-year-old Hilo man initially wanted for bail jumping. Austin Juanito Fernandez was last seen leaving the Hawaii Community Correctional Center at 8 p.m. Thursday. He failed to return to the correctional center later that day as ordered by the court.
