Yi In-jwa resorts to ransacking villages for food. Dae-gil successfully halts the rebels’ advancement and returns to Anseong. Yi In-jwa’s men arrive at Anseong, as Dae-gil pleads with the king to spare people from suffering.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: King Youngjo has a clandestine meeting with Yi In-jwa. King Youngjo urges Yi to give the names of those who partook in the coup. Yi refuses and ends up being executed. The people call on Dae-gil to ascend the throne.
