The new art studio at Kahakai School is part of the vision of principal Dr. James Denight. Resources for students in visual art, music, technology, nature and Hawaiian studies allow core teachers to help other students improve reading and comprehension.
Nearly 300 students spent the month of October designing gecko art. Their brilliant green pigment, vermilion patterns, turquoise stripes and yellow polka dots make them a favorite with children.
