Classical music performances slated
“Ohrlando’s Chamber Ensemble” continues its series of classical chamber music concerts in March. The concerts will feature Roland Maurer on oboe and bassoon, his wife Ursula Hesse, on harpsichord and Barbara Coffman on flute.
The harpsichord was a popular instrument during the baroque and early classical periods. In addition to traditional songs, the ensemble will introduce the audience to the sound of the harpsichord in pieces from the 20th and 21st century.
Performances are planned at 4 p.m. Sunday in the lobby of Kahilu Theatre in Waimea; 5 p.m. March 8 at Waikoloa Community Church; and 5 p.m. March 9 in the Bridge Building at Hualalai Academy. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
