Church bazaar planned in North Kohala
St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Kapaau will hold its annual bazaar from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Baked goods and ethnic foods will be sold in the James Walker Hall starting at 9 a.m.
A silent auction, guided church tours and entertainment will be part of this historic church’s fundraiser, which has been held annually for more than 50 years. Crafts, plants and produce will be sold.

American tango lessons offered in Waimea
The Waimea Ballroom Dance Club offers American tango lessons at the Kahilu Town Hall, across from the Kahilu Theater in Waimea.
The lessons are taught by Lance Oliver on Mondays starting Sept. 8. Registration starts at 6:30 p.m. with lessons from 7 to 8 p.m. A half-hour practice mixer follows. No partner is necessary. Cost is $10 for five lessons with $10 half-annual dues for new club members.

Board of Ethics to meet Sept. 10
The County of Hawaii Board of Ethics will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 in Hilo.
The board will meet in Room 1501 of the Hawaii County Building at 25 Aupuni St. All County of Hawaii Board of Ethics meetings are open to the public. The agenda is posted on the county’s website.

Brain injury support group to meet
The Kona Brain Injury Support group will meet Sept. 10 at Hawaiian Rehab Services on Hualalai Road in Kailua-Kona.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. The speaker will be John Hetherington, who is a Hawaii licensed architect and contractor. Hetherington’s talk, “Creating a Safe and Accessible Home Environment,” includes was to improve home safety and accessibility issues in the bathroom, kitchen, doorways and entryways.
All brain injury, stroke or other neurotrauma survivors, their families and caregivers, interested professionals and the public are invited. Hawaiian Rehab Services is located just mauka of Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union.
