Some 235,000 juror questionnaires will be mailed to Hawaii state driver’s license holders and registered voters for the 2015 jury pool, the Hawaii State Judiciary announced Monday.
The questionnaires, which started being mailed on Monday, will help select potential jurors who may be eligible to serve in 2015, the Judiciary said. In all, the questionnaires were mailed to 70,000 residents on the Big Island, 70,000 on Maui, Lanai, Molokai, 85,000 on Oahu, and 25,000 on Kauai.
Those who receive a questionnaire have 10 days to complete and return it to the Jury Pool Office. Anyone who fails to respond may be penalized.
To be eligible to serve as a juror, you must be at least 18 years old, a citizen of the United States, a resident of Hawaii, and able to read and understand English.
