No tsunami following earthquake off Mexico

No tsunami was triggered by a magnitude-7.4 earthquake that struck Friday morning near the coast of Guerrero, Mexico, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

The earthquake struck at 4:27 a.m. Hawaii time, according to the center.

Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected and there is no threat to Hawaii.
