The Kealakekua Public Library is holding their Summer Reading Program- “Fizz, Boom, Read”, for children, “Spark a Reaction” for teens, and “Literary Elements” for adults- with special free events lined up. There will be craft and special programs for all ages, with prizes for reading books.

The scheduled events include:

June 10, 2014 at 2:30PM Marbling Paper Craft, 12 years and older

June 18, 2014 at 5:30PM Hardware Science, 8 years and older

June 25, 2014 at 5:30PM Pyramid Craft, 5 years and older

July 2, 2014 at 5:30PM Insect World

July 9, 2014 at 5:30PM Stories Fizzing with Fun Magic and Science, preschool to grade 2

All programs run about one hour, and all children 5 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent. If you need a sign language interpreter or other accommodation for the listed programs please contact the library three weeks in advance if possible.

The Kealakekua Library is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 12-4 PM, Wednesday from 2-7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM-3 PM. It is closed Thursdays and Sundays. For more information contact the Kealakekua Public Library at 323-7585.
