This month’s selection is The Fish Can Sing by Halldor Laxness. Somewhat reminiscent of Garrison Keillor's stories this is an unusual, fresh, and fascinating glimpse into life in a small isolated fishing village in Iceland. Halldor Laxness is Iceland's best-known fiction writer and winner of the Nobel Prize for literature.
Join us for a lively discussion and light refreshments. New members are welcome. The Book Club will meet in December to discuss One True Thing by Anna Quindlan.
