Thursday February 13 (6-8pm) - Introductory Lecture

Saturday February 15 (10am-4pm) - Intensive Camera Workshop

 

This course will teach beginning and intermediate photographers camera functions and the creative use of digital cameras. Format will include a Thursday evening illustrated lecture covering camera functions and operations. Saturday will be an intensive hands on workshop where students will practice camera techniques and learn to be more creative and competent photographers. Students are asked to bring their cameras so they can practice the different functions and techniques. John Ferdico recently moved to Kailua Kona from Oakland, California, where he kept a studio for sixteen years.  He exhibited his photographs and photography-based sculpture throughout the United States, and recently had his first exhibition in Hawaii, Artists of Hawai’i 2013 at the Honolulu Museum of Art.

Eric Edwards developed digital imaging products, technology and intellectual property at Sony, and led development of international standards in digital photography, digital cinema, JPEG and MPEG.
