Join Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, along with Big Island Brewhaus, for a special beer and island-inspired tapas dinner at Coast Grille Restaurant. Intended to be a fun and interactive event, Executive Chef Peter Abarcar, Jr. and Big Island Brewhaus owner Thomas Kerns will guide guests along a culinary and brew journey that will feature inventive small plates and award-winning seasonal ales. Beer connoisseurs are invited to sip and savor the suggested pairings and create their own pairings, if so inclined!
Sample dishes include:
· Bacalao con “Patatas” – Similar to the Portuguese codfish and potatoes classic, Chef Peter’s dish will use taro, ‘ulu and green bananas
· Cochinillo Asado – Island suckling pig
· Opelu en Vinagré – A local version of boquerones en vinagré, or anchovies in vinegar
