The Friends of the Libraries, Kona is hosting their free family Read Aloud Program, "Books are Building Blocks," from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 2nd at the Kailua Kona Public Library. During this school year, participants will be traveling around the world and getting their “passports” stamped each month as we explore the world through reading. Join us for this entertaining and informative program to encourage family literacy. October’s guest speaker will be Bree Wee, Kona’s own professional IronMan triathlete. She will share her experiences as a triathlete and the countries she has competed in for triathlons and fun.
