on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Adult CPR instruction begins at 9:00 AM followed by Pediatric CPR. Completion time is 12:30 PM; Standard First Aid will begin at 1:00 – 4:30 PM. All 3 classes will be held at the elementary school in Room D5.
Course content includes: Action at an Emergency; Victim Assessment; Basic Life
Support; Adult CPR; Pediatric CPR; Bleeding and Shock; Wounds; Dressings and
Bandages; Burns; Head and Spinal Injuries, Chest, Abdominal, and Pelvic Injuries; Bone,
Joint, and Muscle Injuries; Splinting the Extremities; Sudden Illnesses; Poisoning; Bites
and Stings; Cold Related Emergencies; Heat Related Emergencies; Rescuing and Moving
Victims. National Safety Council CPR certifications are valid for 2 years; First Aid certification is valid for 3 years. Call 987-6523 for more information and to register. A minimum of 6 participants is required to hold course. Cost: $35.00 per certification or $90.00 for all three. A textbook is recommended and is available for $15.00
