Join us at Community Connections hosted by Hawai‘i Conservation Alliance!
On Wednesday, July 17, 2013 the Hawai‘i Conservation Alliance will be hosting this year’s Community Connections. It will be located at the Hawai‘i Convention Center and will be divided into two parts, The Hawai‘i Green Growth Initiative, hosted by “Building Partnerships for a Sustainable Future” and the Kupa ‘Ai Kakou, a Multisensory Hawaiian art, culture and cuisine experience. The event is free and open to the public.
The Hawai‘i Green Growth Initiative will take place in the afternoon from 1:00-5:30pm. There will be table discussions sharing Bright Spots (cross-sector collaboration) and forums showcasing sustainability issues.
The pau hana, Kupa ‘Ai Kakou, will take place from 5:30-8:30pm. It will feature tastings from locally sourced food and drinks by Oahu’s favorite chefs, along with a trail of Hawaiian music. There will also be a pop-up art exhibition by Maoli Real Time Arts Gallery, poster sessions to hear the latest in cutting edge Conservation research, a film screening of Seeds of Hope and more.
