Sustainable grassfed beef and fresh local produce star in the 2014 Hawai’i Island Ranchers Dinner at Sam Choy’s Kai Lanai, Friday, February 28 at 5:30 p.m. The five-course plated feast with wine pairings is created and prepared by Executive Chef Scott Hiraishi, hitting the high notes of island agriculture. Diners join ranchers, farmers and chefs at table, to experience versatile Hawai’i Lowline Cattle Company beef, including a “cook your own” Tenderloin with ishi yaki, Japanese hot stones, capped off with Chef Scott’s Chocolate Macaroon “Cow Pie.” $75 per person includes select wine pairings.
