Roman V. Andryushkin, 43, of Russia was cited after being contacted while in a closed disaster area near the Nanawale Forest Reserve and Lava Tree State Park Thursday.
Informants who had proper permission to be in the area reported that Andryushkin was seen operating a red-colored drone while in the closed area. Upon officers arrival Andryushkin was cited for loitering in a disaster area and his drone was confiscated as evidence.
More charges involving the use of the drone are pending further investigation. This was the 83rd citation issued since the beginning of the eruption.
What are the consequences? Like a parking ticket? Whatever it is, it isn’t enough to stop people.
Separate him from his kids. Put his kids into a detention facility in New York. Keep this guy in jail.
